Pioneering High-Canopy & Moonlight Lighting
More than 30 years ago, founder Jorge L. Prieto began enhancing architecture with innovative landscape work with a mission to bring the backyard to life. At the time, technology was limited, so we used Greenlee MDB 120-volt mercury vapor uplights to illuminate 45-foot palm canopies and experimented with downlights placed 100 feet high in trees to cast dramatic moonlight effects.

One project at a time, we gained expertise by collaborating with landscape architects, electrical engineers, and attending conferences. We experimented with MV and MH HID lamps, halogen green Hubbell bullets, and accent MR16 bulbs with louvers and filters to learn how light interacts with different plants, textures, and colors.
